Rental Stang vs 2k1 results

Well, I told yall I would go out a rent a stang today, but unfortunatly, all they had were V6 auto camaros left. So, we rented that one instead. It beat me by around 3 car lengths to 60mph w/ my dad driving my car. It wasnt even funny, right off the line, I was gone. I dont know what the results would be from a camaro v6 vs a v6 mustang, but would prolly be close. Just wanted to let you all know.

"even" camaro's are fast, and you went out to rent a v6 just to do this test?

What I meant was that the base model with the slowest transmission kicked a civ's ***. There was talk that a V6 mustang with auto trans was a good target for a 5-spd civic but who knows....

I believe the camaros with the 3.8 liter V6 can run with the mustang gt(I'm not sure, I'm not a mag racer, and really don't care if I'm wrong). They are entirely different than a mustang with a V6.

You really shouldn't be losing to a base model V6 Camaro. Back in my F-Body days the base models ran 16.4s, but the V6s with the Y87 package (dual exhaust, better rear) ran 15.5s. STill not that big of a difference from the 2K1 EX. You and a base model should be alot closer unless you have 18" rims or something like that.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but running in the mid 15's is 6th gen Si territory. It's gonna be a while before a 7th gen EX gets anywhere close to those times.

EDIT: Well...maybe with nitrous...

That's right, but now at least no one is going to claim that they beat a camaro I've test driven both, and even though I didn't really like either one, the camaro had a lot more pull.
