how much did you guys pay for your civic, I'm looking to get a new civic this year but my friend have a new Mazda 3, and she really like it. So I'm just interested in what you guys opinions are. I also heard Mazda 3 are much more pricier than the civic.
If you can give me a your price or a general price range and the model, it would really help

i paid $9500 for a used 2002 Ex coupe 5-speed with rockford fosgate subs, kenwood 540 watt amp, and pioneer speakers(not stock), and a clarion headunit in February with 31K on the odometer
17k for an 05 special edition auto. they also gave me 1500 for my totalled jetta that barely got to the dealership so i ended up paying 15.5k for my car. I wish i got teh stick though. But regaurdless the civic is a pretty slow car stock and the little increase in speed i got from a stick would only let me beat auto civics. haha

If i were you... i'd wait till august-september because i heard thats around the time that they're going to release the 8th gen civics which i think look (imo and according to the concepts) better than the current 7th gen...
Here is a link to the 8th gen civic concept pics if u missed them:

but if u go for the current 7thgen thats cool too... my friend recently bought a 2005 Special Edition EX for about 16k.. and i bet they're gonna try to get rid of them for pretty good deals too.. so yea

i got the best deal around. 10,000 Canadian for an 01 LX. No accidents, non-smoker. 120,000 KM's.
Thats about 8100 USD. and about 75000 miles.
Wicked deal out here where i live, about 5000 less than bluebook.

$19,821 total for an '03 EX A/T sedan in early '03...i bought it in Monterey, CA so i reckon that might have something to do with why it cost so damn much...
as for the Mazda 3 question...my girl just bought an '05 Mazda 3 sedan, and i have to say it's a very nice car...i'm not sure of the engines specs or anything like that, but i drove it from San Antonio to Houston and back, and i was impressed...it was a smooth, comfortable ride, the styling is nice, even the stock Toyo tires performed well when i was actin a fool on some back roads...plus there's actually a pretty decent aftermarket for it; i've found drop springs, intake, exhaust, etc. online with no problem, and they're 5-lug bolt pattern offers a huge rim selection if you decide to upgrade...
so here's my $.02: i drive a Civic so i'm kinda biased toward Civics...but the 3 is definitely a worthy competitor, at least as far as value, comfort, styling, etc. go...either car, and i'm sure you'll be pleased...good luck!

its interesting to see the prices people bought their civics for. as for me in MI, i got my 02 ex MT (got to get a stick with this car, lotta fun) with 16k miles for 16grand with warranties and stuff. It came with a nice pioneer head unit, new infinity kappa speakers and 17” 5 spoke rims wrapped with nankang ns-1’s.
As for my opinion of the mazda 3: I drive my friends a lot up at college and I really like it. Suspension, handling, acceleration, torque, seats, xenon lights and brakes are perfect. Another thing I liked was that the engine has something similar to the vtec and its gearing, especially on the highway keeps the r’s low (i.e. my civc does 4k rpm at 80mph). It’s really a great car for the money. I think hers was a brand new 04 for like 20-21g.
go test drive the cars and see what you think.
