thing is, if you're a honda fan than
for you but you have to recognize that the tc is superior to the civic for more than one reason.

civicdude, posting here asking for opinions about any car based on its technical merit is always a bad idea.
I'd keep the Prizm and run it till it starts costing money to keep on the road (at least 100k miles). They're truly wonderful cars, and yes - peppier than an automatic Civic. My concerns with the xB, from when I drove one (that's right, drove one - right off the bat that makes me more qualified than 98% of posters in this thread!):
1) The funky location of the instrumentation. Hated it on the Echo, hate it on current Saturns... still hate it.
2) Feels underpowered. I know this isn't a big deal, but it really does need to be wound up a lot to get onto the highway at safe speed.
3) Cargo room is a bit lacking - remember, you're planning for transporting a stroller
4) Looking like a dumbass 19 year old while driving it.
But otherwise, I think it's fantastic. If it came with a more powerful motor (say the Corolla's) and an AWD option, I think it could be even better.

I understand. Liking the xB is one of my guilty pleasures. I liked the Element till I rode in my friend's, and noticed that the front seat belts are mounted to the back doors, so anytime anyone needs to get out from the back the front passenger and driver get strangled. I know it's a stupid reason to dislike a vehicle, but what genius came up with that? It might as well have two doors.

I dont like the Element. Im not going to state what I don't like about the Element, because I wouldnt want to offend anyone that has one or likes them. I saw a Scion XB yesterday at 7-11 and my wife was telling our friend that she thinks it is so ugly, and of course my luck, her friend thinks so too. But of course her friends husband doesnt...and he sides with me saying that he likes it and if he had $15k he would of got one instead of his elantra
