i was wondering if anyone one else that drives in winter conditions has this problem. I have the oem bodykit and the splash guards (splash guards in the rear only because i was told that if i have the body kit the guards wouldnt fit in the front) anyway, everytime i go out driving i have to stop often because there is all this ice and snow caught in the wheel well, i looks like it would fall out if the splash guards werent there but it just gets clogged up and makes this awful scraping noise. would it be wise of me to take the splash guards off for the winter? if this ice and snow build up continues do you guys think it would scratch the inside of the wheel well and lead to oxidation etc. how bout wearing down my tires? thanks, your help is appreciated.

Rep Power: 0 I have the same problem. No bodykit here, but I do have Splashguards. Actually one of them fell off due to all the build up, so I have A splashguard, I think I'll just get new one's in the spring then take em off next winter. As for tire wear, I dunno. I'd just take them off if I were you (regardless I'm gonna take the other one off).

Rep Power: 0 huh? i thought that with the OEM body kit you have to remove your rear splash guards. i've never seen a civic with the body kit and guards, how did they fit properly? did the dealer install it? the delear installed mine and removed the guards.

Rep Power: 0 I agree with astigmatic. I've installed my oem body kit myself and i don't think its even possible to put the rear splashguards on without drilling extra holes into your rear bumper. And The splashguards don't even fit with the rear lip.
