Also, I thought VW was reliable in the past too...
Well, I think I will probably drive jap car for the next decades, I am too use to the honda reliability so that I probably can't accept any car that has problems all the time.
new IS300

They will redesign IS300 in 2007, it will be a sport coupe and it will look extremely fancy! No more conservative IS300 sedan!

Not sure, they own them, I know that. My friend is head mechanic at Land Rover which is also owned by all them. Land Rover / Jag is side by side at his work
Wow this is quite a surprise. Not the Civic being reliable, but all those Euro-luxury cars rating poorly.
The only thing that sucks about this survey is this is based on '97 and up car models. I kinda wished they had even older cars that been through the test of time. I remember once seeing a forum for car owners who had the most kms on their car with the least problems. There were old Subarus with 400,000km etc.
My big question is how bad are the newest cars if they're not even a year old and already they are considered "unreliable" by their owners, that's just sad.

Also Chrysler did not acquire Benz, it was the other way around. All the top executives are German.
A few of the Chrysler products get halfway decent quality reviews, such as the PT Cruiser.
The Corolla still beats out the Civic though. I wonder if the front double wishbone hadn't been replaced with the struts, if Civic's quality would have been even better.
Accord doesn't show up on the sedan list but Camry does. That is also troubling.

Then BMW sold it to ford because they were losing way too much money because Land Rover and Jag was a money sink hole for them. Ford did a better job from a business stand point of bring back the brand.
As for the person that stated buying a jag is buying a ford. This isn't necesary true. Ford owns a big part of Mazda and suburu as well, but both had cars that were listed on as the most reliable on the list. Many imports have some kind of business relation with domestic auto makers. Honda and toyota are probably the only major imports that are completely independent from domestic auto makers. I'm not too sure about nissan.
