having a stick shift makes your ***** bigger, it's a fact. i have before and after pics if anyone is interested. it may just look like one pic is flaccid and one is a picture of a boner, but i insist that that's not the case...

thats about what it took me, I didnt have a manual daily driver, my dad taught me when he bought his civic, actually it was probably longer, but around 3 weeks i'd guess, worked out well though, because even when I was test driving my car (of course I had to get a 5 speed ) I had no trouble at all, plus dad's civic is an LX and the EX's clutch is more smooth and shifting seems easier..

^HAHAHAHA. yeah, those are some stupid questions.
I never got any dumb questions about driving stick but a girl-friend of mine asked me about my rims..."do they just snap on?"

wow... i've gotten every single one of those... i taught a lot of my buddies how to drive stick...

one of the best ones ya get when you're teaching someone goes a little something like this...

me: "good... now we're rolling... good job!"
*we begin to roll faster... rpm's higher..."
them: "yay!!!"
me: "ok now remember when we talked about shifting?"
them: "shifting?"
*rpm's still higher"
me: "remember... gas off, clutch in, shift..."
them: "there's more to this than just starting?"
me: "yes... gears..."
*rev limiter hit..."
them: "what's that noise?!?!?"
me: "just stop the car and we'll start from the beginning"
*they stop the car successfully, then let up off of the clutch... car jumps and dies*
me: *groan*

Took me maybe a week. I still jerk the car sometimes, but never stall anymore. I've only stalled maybe twice with my car. It's not easy to stall a 7th gen, or at least thats what i think. As for stupid questions, someone once asked me why i needed two brake pedals, i was like WTF!? Haha.

took me about 2.5 months to learn to drive stick, but i wasnt very god at it first and it has to learn on a POS 4-speed 91 civic hatch. its been almost 2 years now and im perfect at it almost. i dont think i have stalled at all since i got my ACT clutch which has been probally a good 8 months ago. i dont even remember the last time i stalled.

Just when I reach a point in life when I ask myself if society can sink any lower or become any dumber, someone manages to always make me say yes...and so the pit deepens.
