Haven't had any consistent problems. I only had to replace the driver side bulb. I had those APC fake HID bulbs. Had my car since Dec. 2001, and no apparent problems yet.

I have a 2003 that I bought in Feb of 03, and Ive had problems with every bulb Ive put in there except the stock ones.... I know the ground for the bulb is bad, because someone already discussed that here on this webstie, so depending on weather they will honor it on a 03 or not, Ill just fix it myslef!

Out of warranty should not matter. Recalls are done because the part in question could fail, possibly causing an accident or death.

i think if u 02 guys are having trouble with the low beam ish.....should take it in.....doesnt matter if u have stock bulb or aftermarket white bulb....its not the bulb that cause the over-heat....the problem part is in the wiring.
