Toyota Camry, Galant, and Honda Accord
Did they forget to do a quality test?
They have comparison videos in accident avoidance maneuvers, acceleration and braking. It is clearly biased on Mitsu's part.. what do you think? Be sure to view all the tests

It's always exxagerated in these commercials. They would rather make their product look better/ out perform other manufacturers products. Also put into the same vehicle with different drivers would yield different results.
The NHTSA recently rated the Galant best-in-class for bumper damage repair costs. That's the only facts I know of at this point. That doesn't necessarily make it any safer, just cheaper to fix if you **** it up

Even if this was true...and maybe it is...I would never buy a mitsu over buying a camry. The camry is a much better built car, and a more reliable car....Plus I think its a nicer car, and that it is in a higher class than the mitsu. I could see the mitsu competing with the Altima maybe but not the camry...The camry is more classy....Especially the XLE V6.

Oh yes, we'll compare our "sporty" car to a "luxery" car... we'll show them how "sporty" it is!
Seriously, if they wanted competion, why not take on ALL the midsized cars in a full blown commercial (Remember what Kia's Sorento did with their commercial?)

i didn't say american cars are built like crap all i said was that mitsubishi's that contain 80% american parts are crap its not the fact that american cars are crap its just that particularly American Mitsubishi is crap. So maybe you shouldn't put words in my mouth.

I dont understand what Mitsubishi plans to get from these tests. Everyone know that the camry is a much better car that the galant and even though mitsubishi is working on the cars a lot more, mitsubishi reliability just isnt there when you compare it to toyota reliability. When people have a perception of a certain item, it takes a lot to change it and I dont see it happening with mitsu. They have nice cars, but I chose a WRX instead of the EVO becuase I didnt want to have to deal with mitsu problems.
Yeah your just ignorant, there is nuthin to say an eclipse or any other of thier other cars aren't decent. there may be better cars out there for the money but its about preferance. not need to be an *** and pick on Mitsu's
Strange how those two Sentra's went head on but neither of their crumple zone's went in.... Mitsu can never beat Toyota, man.. That's just plain bull. They make that damn Galant look like it handles like a rear-wheel drive car.
No body else saw the rookie driver sticker in the window of the camery?
j/k!
Hmmm. stats from vehical compare on the mitsu site
Galant GTS....230hp/250tq....3649lb
Camery V6....225hp/240tq....3351lb
Altima v6.......245hp/246tq....3246lb
Accord v6......240hp/212tq....3360lb
Yet they claim that the gts 0-60 is 6.77 vs camery 7.44 vs accord 7.01
ok wtf mitsu, the power is right in there with the honda and toyota, but um too bad the gts is heavy as ****! bwaaahahahaha!
and one more thing, the galant gets worse gas mileage and is more expensive then all those models (unless you use accord ex which is about 100 more)

Boy, there sure is a lot of pent-up anger against Mitsubishi here. They are one of Japan's oldest car manufacturing companies and have produced some brilliant World Rally championship winning cars. There designs are original, not boring like most Hondas and Toyotas. There have been some reliability problems with American-built Mitsus, but the Japanese ones are very reliable. The 2.4 litre 4-banger is a tried and tested motor. I'm sure that the current marketing strategy is push their new 10 year powertrain warranty and to steal customers from Hyundai/Kia.
Anyway, it looks like it's working because people are talking about it.
