Turbo or Stealth?!?!?!?!?
ok i need everyone's help on this. i have a 03 auto ex which i have only modded with an AEM short ram and Apexi WS catback. i have big plans for this car including rims, drop, and turbo. however, it has come to my attention that one of my teachers in school is gonna sell his twin turbo dodge stealth, which i think is a '99, sometime within the next year. so i could either stick with the civic and mod away, or get rid of it and exchange reliablility for a shitload of horsepower in the stealth, which happens to be STi blue, black leather int, perfect condition with a clean driving record. any thoughts?
ok here is the deal, you want a reliable car, that will stay slow whatever u do to it, and that is an AUTO, and that people might call rice. or do you want a nice car to say is fast and sporty
Get your priorities streight, then decide.
Sport = stealth
Reliable/cheap= civic

well, either way im gonna have a fast car because i would turbo my civic anyway and then maybe do some internal work in the future to be able to turn up the boost. what i would worry about is reliablility and insurance. the civic definatly has the upper hand there. but the stealth is so sexy and oh so fast.....
In addition to my Civic, I have a '99 Chrysler 300M. After having this Chrysler, I swore to myself that I'd never again get a domestic car. They're always breaking down and repairs aren't cheap. I had to drop $400 on a transmission computer alone at one time. Plus, they're a pain in the a$$ if you want to work on them yourself. Everything is so crammed into the engine bay that you need the hands of a 5-yr old girl to fit in there. They may look nice and have some power to show for it, but other than that, they're not really that great. Personally I prefer the peace of mind of having a car that works. Just my $0.02.
yea auto is horrid especialy in a honda... get the stealth my uncle had one it was one of the best domestics ive driven... accualy has some handling capability unlike the rest

Domestic?! LOL It's a rebadged Mitsubishi 3000GT. And if i remember right, Mitsu designed the car, not Dodge. Dodge has a looong history of rebadging Mitsu's.
Numerous Dodge cars and trucks were rebadged Mitsubishi's: Ram 50/Mighty Max, Colt/Mirage, Stealth/3000GT, Laser/Eclipse/Talon/Avenger/Sebring Coupe, Conquest/Starion, Raider/Montero. One ironic twist, I think, is the Laser/Daytona were originally Chrysler designs but later switched to the Eclipse platform.

From what I see in your profile, you're only 17, so the insurance is gonna RAPE you. Just think about it, you're going to be buying a twin turbo car. I say stick with the civic and do whatever you want to it, and the insurance can't do s**t about that.
