The standard features of the Honda Accord 2.4 DX include 2.4L I-4 160HP engine, 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive, 4-wheel anti-lock brakes (ABS), 15" steel wheels, power windows, AM/FM stereo in-dash mounted single CD with 2 speakers, tilt & telescoping steering wheel, chrome interior accents, light tinted windows, 4-way manual adjustment driver & passenger seats, and a max trailer weight of 1,000lbs. that is not a bad deal, new accords retail around 20k (give or take couple Gs). A/C from factory install is about 1500 i think so u got urself a brand new accord for about 17gs. good deal imo

Since you live in SoCal, you should think twice about not having A/C. If you want basic comfortable transportation then this Accord is a good choice. The Civic LX is also worth considering, with more features at similar price.

all DX hondas dont have A/C unless u pay a buttload more for the option, in the case just get a damn LX..

i have a dx coupe no ac... never minded once.... and i live in FLORIDA... central florida at that no beach breeze and even in july its bearable just roll down your windows... as long as your not sitting in hours of traffic its worth the trade off for gas/power/weight i have no ac no power anything no pwr steering just engine and chassis and this is my favorite car ive owned.
however if your buying an accord your probly going for family/comfort so i would say no go for the ac and power all

although thats a different car than a civic.
anyone that drives an accord can feel the difference right away. i'm not talking about speed or anything, although that car is faster... its just a nicer ride..
when I drive an accord, I dont care what it looks like on the outside though.
personally there's better cars out there than honda.

I think it all depends on your financial situation. As for myself, I realized I got a lot with an lx civic over the dx. Might be the same situation with the accord. No AC? I think I would die--I'm a warm person so I gotta have it, even though I only use it for a few months up here in Boston.
