Acura TL
Acura TL
I saw the new TL today and it is one of the most beautiful cars I ever seen. Its the first time I seen it in real life and I was stunned, the car was beautiful. I almost hit the car in front of me because I couldnt stop stairing at it.
Anyone else think the new TL looks amazing?

Damn that thing is fast.
Damn that thing is fast.
OH YEAH!!!
My dad and I drove one, and oh yeah, that thing hauls!!!
My dad also might buy one, he keeps going back to look at colors.
I hope he gets one, because then I can drive it!!!
The seats in it are amazing too!!
Double Wishbone Suspension Rocks!!!
The 2002 TL has 225 hp stock, then the Type- S has 260, and the 2004 TL has 270 pavement smoking horsepower!

For the sake of accuracy, I inversed the power-to-weight. . . making it pounds per pony.
1997 Z-28:
Curb weight: 3591 lbs
Peak Power: 285 hp
Power-to-weight ratio: 12.6 lbs/hp
2004 TL:
Curb weight: 3482 lbs
Peak Power: 270 hp
Power-to-weight ratio: 12.9 lbs/hp
Except for the fact that your 5.7 churns-out 325 ft-lbs vs. the TL's modest 238, it could hang with you. From a standstill, however, you WOULD still own it.
lexury wise

probably lexury-wise it will own the camaro anyday...we see less business suite man with camaro...
people get TL just because a lot of business suite man drive it? probably, same as BMW.
+ lexury car does not need all thesepower, TL has a bit too much for a lexury car...hope it has a comfort ride
I think it looks ok. I just dont like the fact that it looks EXACTLY like the TSX! I have seen both in person many times, and its very hard to tell the difference. The only way I can see its the TL in a heartbeat is by looking at the tail lights. As for everything else, it looks the same to. If im paying nearly 10,000 more for the TL over the TSX, I sure as hell I would want my TL to look waaaayyy hotter, and not get it confused for a car which is 10,000 less. If I had a choice, of course I'd get the TL, but if its a money issue, id get the TSX, same **** to me.
My dad just got the silver one with black interior. That car is soooo sweet>
The six speed is soo smooth and the brembo calipers look so huge under the 17's. Plus it is so comfortable inside.

anyone find it looks like 2004 pondiac grand prix GTP ?
I kinda thought the TL Looked like a Mustang in a lot of respects, aside from having 4 doors. And the only thing I didn't like about the TSX was the chrome strip around all the windows. It's way to flashy and just doesn't look good to me at all ..
I love the new Acura TL, just test drove the 6-speed (very smooth and responsive) and man does it haul *** and looks awesome inside and out. The bluetooth enabled in-car handsfree system is the best I've ever seen. I especially love the way it looks with the A-Spec package...

Kinda pricey add-on though (~$6500), but comes with...
- High performance, track-tuned shocks and springs
- Lightweight 18x8.5 alloy wheels
- High performance Yokohama 235/40VR18 95W tires
- Performance brake pads (automatic transmission-equipped models)
- Aero kit featuring front air dam, chin spoiler, side skirts and choice of deck lid or rear wing spoiler
- A-Spec steering wheel
- A-Spec badging

The TSX is nice, but not worth the price per hp, since it's just the euro accord w/ less hp. You can get a fully loaded '04 Accord w/ pretty much similar luxuries, but more hp for the same price. I'll admit that the TSX is really nice looking (love the tails and led side mirrors), but I wish it had the dual side markers like the TL imho.
Basically the TSX fully loaded is about $28-29K w/ 200hp, while the '04 accord cpe fully loaded is also about $28-29k but w/ 240hp. Weird, you'd expect the Acura line to be a bit better, I guess it's because the TSX is just the smaller euro accord.

Very nice car. I think $34,650 is a little high though, and after another $6,500 for the A-Spec package, there are better deals in my opinion. I'd rather have a 330xi and spend the extra $4,000 on mods.
