The 02 and 03 models actually ran just slightly leaner fuel, so they actually have potential to be FASTER than the 00-01 model. ALL S2000's are capable of 13.7's. In fact, some believe a 13.5 is possible, though it hasn't happend yet. Someone did get a 13.6 though.

And as for switching drivers it doesn't really matter with your s2k vs rsx race. If NEITHER driver knows how to drive the S2000 properly, then either way the S2k will lose. That's the faulty logic in "switching drivers". If neither one can drive a certain car, then that certain car will still be slower no matter which of the two is driving it.

Believe me, no matter which way you look at it, an S2000 WILL PUT 2 car lengths on an RSX on the launch. Period. And it WILL pull the entire way as well. If it's properly driven of course.

Don't blame the car for the way your friends drive it. If you put me behind the wheel of the S2000 and any friend of yours in the world behind the RSX, I will dump them off the line and pull like a ****.

How do you launch your s2k and @ what RPM? Do you drop the clutch or feather it out? I realize if you don't launch high enough in that car, it will have a better chance of being killed by the RSX Hype S. :P

so the 02 and 03 ran a leaner fuel. Thanks for clearing that up. Also, how can they have better potential than 00 and 01 if it was just the fuel?

As for the race witt the s2k, it was my bad, i found out that he reved his car beyond redline to fuel cut.

They eased back on the "learning curve" of the new ECU, allowing breathing and bolt on mods to possibly have more potential for more HP. so the VAFC usually gets more gains for the 02-03 models than the 00-01 models.


As for the way I launched it was generally between 4500-6000rpm at most. And just drop it. Dont' feather the clutch on the S2000 EVER.
