You can change a few parts or get a HONDADATA Flashpro for Re-Flashing Your DX Civics ECU yes expensive but so are performance parts and Labour inst. it will work well on Your DX. better gains are on a SI & 1.5 Turbo, or more so Yet ultimatley on a 2018 Type R.! If You want to leave it stock as is with-out replacing Parts...? then get the ECU re-Flashed.! using HondaData Flashpro.

hey guys i caled my local london honda this week enquiring about the hondadata reflash they told me if i wanted to come in and get it reflashed it would cost me just over 1.100 dollars i enquired about h.p gains he said we have not done a lot of them on civics but the few they have done gained some great results on power gains 1 owner called back and said his cars engine was alot more robust on power.! im seriosly thinking of getting it done and adding a cold air intake for added power.

Consider lower restriction exhaust mods to complement the cold air intake. The combination gives the car a considerable responsiveness boost.

-intake
-header
-exhaust
-camshaft if you can find one (not sure if they're commonly produced from mod companies, for that engine)
-weight reduction

Yes all those are great to have on i would use a HondaData Flashpro to further fine tune bolt on parts and Parameteres like the air/fuel ratio, spark advance timing, Governor Speed its got the ability to adjust the Factory ecu settings that are more suited for better fuel economy and emmisions. HondaData Flashpro is worth the $ for much better H.P. performance,

That's True the cheaper version to hondadata would be using something like a KTuner re-flash that's identical & little cheaper. still i like the hondadata more so its got diagnostics built in for diagnosing, something that KTuner dont.
