Type R brakes on a Touring

Ok as the heading says I am curiouse if 2017 Type R brakes would fit on a 2016 Touring or is there a size differnecethat I need to take into account as well as wheel size?

Re: Type R brakes on a Touring

Nothing is the same. The wheel/rotor bolt pattern is different. The lug stud diameter is different. The front wheel hub is different and may not swap into a normal civic steering knuckle since the Type R uses a unique 2 piece knuckle suspension system.

A better choice would be to see if the brake system from a 2006 era Acura Tl 6 speed manual trans car would fit. They are brembo brakes with similar mounting style and the same wheel bolt pattern as the civic.
