Hey guys first time poster and first time honda driver. So I have what appears to be a retrofitted android tablet as my main controll for EVERYTHING. I was wondering if this modified tablet is capable of acting like a tuner computer?
I know vivid makes a tuner app for the android phone and connects through the ObdII dongle. I also know I can sideload apps onto this tablet/dashscreen.
Can I load that app, or a separate apk for a tuner software onto this computer AND have it communicate to the ecu?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Civic SO touch screen
Sounds like questions you should ask the previous owner or the person who installed this stuff.

Let me clarify. Its a 2017 Civic SI coupe stock with 1000 miles on it. The screen is stock and comes with the car. If you look at it you can tell the just slapped an Android tablet into it. There was no previous owner.

Yes they run Andriod (jellybean?), and your idea is intriguing.... Experiment?
Check Hondata, check 10th gen and civicx forums?

I have bounced around on hondata, but all I found was their flashpro for it in device form. I looked briefly in the 10th gen Civic forum but nothing was really there. I'd love to expired met but I don't really have a starting point.
If the screen is connected then my current theory is there should be a sequence to "unlock" the view. If I'm incorrect about that unlock but it is connected, which I believe it is because I get info on my fuel economy...which is not good FYI, then I just need the correct APK and to figure out where the settings would be for developer mode.
It would likely be a non approved app. I did discover an app called vivid Linq but I need a dongle to use it.
