Re: rear bumper removal

...why do you need to remove the bumper to install the lights?

You are posting in the 2016+ civic section... I thought they were already LED. Whatever they are they look cool, imo.

Are you replacing the lights or the lamps?

Re: rear bumper removal

It may be easier to remove the tires, then unclip the wheel well plastic in order to gain access.

...but I've never worked on one of those, so If you figure it out take some pics and leave a DIY for others.

Re: rear bumper removal

ok guys I took it by a professional to install the rear led brake light.
but here is how I saw him take it off.
he removed the tail lights only because he needed access to connect the brake and park leds to the bumper brake led.
removed three screws inside both wheel wells and all clips connected to the rear bumper underneath the vehicle.
two torx shape screws below rear tail lights under the trunk were removed also.
he then unclipped the bumper from both sides before pulling it off.
there are some clips that hold it in the center of the bumper yanking on it just unclips it no damage.
attached are the pics of the vehicle with the modifications made.

Modifications done
front lip ikon gt style
front and rear hf-p style lip splitters
black jdm flush trunk spoiler
ikon style roof spoiler
mudguards installed
rear bumper led brake light
front drl led/ indicator and led fog lights installed
silver rear bumper diffuser with decorative exhaust tips

need some good rims now lol.
