I drive a 96 ek coupe and its really slow and boring when its hot outside(i live in arizona). How can i make it faster and all around more fun to drive whilst still on a budget? Do cold air intakes help?

How much faster?
What's your budget?
Want to make it more fun? Buy summer tires, coilovers, upgrade sway bar and bushings and assinate back roads like a boss, all while maintaining 30mpg
Car is not going to get a huge HP increase unless internals are changed, boost is added or engine is swapped.

crap more.
Weight reduction helps a lot, especially on lighter cars.
Suspension upgrades (costs $$$ - cheaper ones will make you slower)
