Im thinking of getting AEM Cold Air Intake with the air bypass valve but not sure if theres something better out there. Any product reviews or info. on this subject is much apprecaited.

Injen is true cold air... it takes it in from the fenderwell rather than behind the radiator. Unless you live somewhere where floods are possible, you don't need the bypass. Search around on here... this has been beaten to death already.
the injen short ram has actually been putting out better numbers than the AEM cold air -when dynoed-. i have the injen short ram and i love it. i bought the heat shield and thermal wrap and it performs great. the AEM and injen cold air intakes are very long and have many twists making air flow harder. they also pose the possibility of sucking water and totaling yourt engine. the short ram from injen is very short- thus the name short ram- and it has one bend. only problem is that it takes in hot air. but its all about what you perfer. i like my injen SRI on my 2k2 civic.

actually rookie the injen sri gives out more hp on diffrent level of the powerband and the aem cai does the same. However it was proven that the injen cai gives out more hp over the same powerband as the aem cai. Its not much more but with out cars every lil bit helps. Also all the major avalible brands out for our car right now are: K&n, Aem, Injen, And iceman. Theres alot more out but i havent herd anything about em. I personally have the injen and i love it. Its much louder than the aem, however the aem is deeper. Hope i helped.
i have AEM CAI and i like it a lot, pretty much the same as injen. AEM is easier to install. Don't get bypass valve unless u live in a flood area, bypass valve is really not needed it only works when filter is submerged under water. Go with a CAI get either Injen or AEM
This is my theory and correct me if I am wrong please, but isnt all the piping the same? I mean a CAI is a CAI riiight. Isn't the differance just in the actual Filter it-self? It just looks to me like all the piping has to be bent the same way for it to fit into our engine bays so there cant be a big differance there. And all the piping is the same diameter as far as I know. So the way I see it you could go on ebay and get a cold air for $80( filter included) and if you wanted maximum performance then get a nice filter for around $30 and have the same intake as the Injen or AEM for alot less.
So am I right or am I wrong?

I have an AUTOMATIC... does AEM make CAI's for auto? Some ppl were saying they only make it for 5-speeds. Is this true?
If this is true... what's my NEXT BEST choice for a CAI?! I am not looking to go for a SRI. If you guys are gonna say the Injen Race Division CAI is what I should go for... what kind of filter does it come with? I want a K&N.

I am about to order one. I'm having a tough time deciding too. I think the AEM looks better, but I think the majority think the Injen performs slightly better and sounds better. So I don't know what I'm going with yet.

Nah man. Definitely get the Injen C.A.I. I have it and it works awesome. No bypass valve needed...better cold air since it sits in fenderwell instead of behind radiator and/or under the hottttttttttttttt engine. I live in FL where it already rains and it stays pretty dry down there...remember no being kewl and taking them puddles

I live in Florida too. Behind the wheel protects the water from coming in. I have a modified whole in my bumper to allow cooler air in and it has a flap for those rainy days to keep water out. Other than that, I've used it @ top speed on highways on rainy days and it manages to stay dry. Stay away from those PUDDLES!
