Video clips - Dynomax UltraFlo muffler on 2001 Civic LX
Here are a few video clips of Dynomax UltraFlo muffler and 12" performance glasspack instead of stock resonator. To hear the true sound, you need good speakers on your computer. It sounds deep and it is even deeper when under load driving around. Eventually I will record a video of cruising around.
Here are the links to video clips:

What do you think?
It cost me only $150(muffler)+$40(3" tip)+$20(glasspack)+labor.

I don't have my nice Logitech speakers right now but from the 1 watt speakers on my LCD it sounds deep because I couldn't hear alot of the sound since the speakers don't play the deep well.
Good job on the new exhaust.

To answer $killler05coupe,
No, it is not loud to make it annoying, but it is deep and almost as loud as some cat-backs after 10min of driving. When the engine and muffler are cold, you can barely notice any change at idle.
Freestyle.

You can see how mine looks like in one of the videos. The muffler is the important part...........I chose that specific 3" tip but you can choose what you want.
The muffler is Dynomax UltraFlo Welded Performance and here is the picture of it from Dynomax site:

I got the muffler with the inlet piple 1/4 inch wider than the pipe going into the stock muffler. You can play with this width too. That's what I like about getting a custom exhaust as opposed to getting a cat-back and paying $600 and you don't know what to get. Going the custom route, you pay a little bit more labour for trying different things but it still ends up cheaper.
As for the 12" glasspack that I put instead of stock resonator, I don't have a brand name. The local shop deals with specific company that provides them with performance glasspacks.
Since you can barely hear the deep sound the engine and muffler are cold, you could even go without the glasspack and just straight pipe and see if that gives you deep sound at idle, but it will increase the noise under load also.
Freestyle.

There is no ricer sound at all. It sounds deep but it can never be as deep as the Magnaflow cat-back I had on my VW Golf 2.0L since the engine and VW is bigger and more torquee. However, I like the sound of my Civic too and I started to like the high-revving engines.
