Exclamation Clutching Problems

Im got a 2000 Civic EX with the D16Y8 VTEC and 5 speed tranny. Just recently, the release bearing started making noise, and i know why ( i have a lazy shifting foot, and forgot the adjust the clutch pedal for the free play) but more over, when you add gas to the gear, the shift lever normally moves a little, but when in second gear when i add gas, the gearshift actually kicks back out. it only happened to 2nd gear so far, but i dont know what is doing this, is this the release bearing doing that, or what? I have a exedy clutch/flywheel kit on the way already, i am concerned if there is tranny damage. All the gears engage fine, its just that one seems to kick back harder than it normally should. Any answers?

idk dude, i have a 99 EX 5 speed, which is basically the same car... and my shifter moves a little too, but its never kicked out like that before... i'd take it to someone (ie honda) and have them look at it, and i guess if its the clutch you dont hafta worry about it, but if its tranny damage, you dont want it getting any worse, just my take on the situation.. good luck
