question about an intake
i'm thinking about buying an intake for my '02 vic lx auto. i'm not thinking about buying an expensive intake, but just a generic intake that i can buy from a shop or even from ebay. but at ebay, it saying that all the CAIs are for manual. will the CAIs fit my automatic vic? or just buy a SRI? the reason of me thinking of buying an intake is that i'm too lazy to change my air filter everytime i do an oil change. HELP!!!!

The only CAI available for the Automatic transmission is made by Injen. No other CAI will fit an auto...
I'd just get a Short Ram.

yah k&n is good. u also have the injen, aem, and the weapon r. i kinda like the weapon r since no tmany ppl have it, and i like how it looks. but from what ive heard k&n is best.
short rams:
-aem
-injen
-k&n
check out www.importhorizon.com their having an intake sale. the eBay generic intakes work and are much cheaper and pretty much do the same as any other SRI. so your pretty much paying for the "fitment, quality and looks" of the sri.

anyways...i got the aem short ram in my car. it sounds pretty good. not too loud or not too quite. and plus the short rams are a lot easier to put on then cold air.

just stick to the short ram.. its not gunna do anything but make a lil noise anyway.. trust me.. ive got an 02 lx auto.. i got some $15 thing off ebay.. you lose a lil low end.. it makes noise around 2700+.. it looks a lot nicer than that small house that comes stock..
mine was a lil too tall.. and missing 3 clamps.. so i picked up some clamps and hacked like 1/4 of an inch off of it.. now it fits like a glove.. it was a lil tinny sounding.. so i sanded it and added 3 more layers of paint and 2 layers of clearcoat.. now it sounds nice.. the filter itself is crap.. it came totaly dry so it wasnt doing a very good filtering job.. so i got the k&n recharge kit for it.. now it works a lil better.. im gunna change it to real k&n whenever i remember to pick one up..
