check out the parts/review on this website.
if you drive your car in harsh weather conditions, then cold air wouldnt cut it. you'd be safe with a short ram. check out www.importhorizon.com for prices, cheapest i know of. they also have a link under "modifications" and explains the basics of intake/header/exhaust.

there have been dyno's.... but generally, overall, there is slight gain at the end of the power band..... but low end loss is the price. but I think you know that already.

i have a k&n fipk II. very happy with it. i didnt feel any power loss. pulls better on top. dyno's at 4.8 hp. great sound. does not get heat soaked.
you can get noise for real cheap if you just remove the stock resonator box. that way you keep the stock filter and all of its air cleaning goodness but you get your growl with enough money left over for some good brakepads or an RSX rear swaybar

^^ yeah but that way you def lose power. the engine is sucking in scorching hot air which destroys power all across the rpm range. i tried it, it sucks.
of course it sucks but you get the sound. You can add plastic tubing to the front or bottom of the engine bay if you want cold air, that costs more though, like maybe $20 at a hardware store. The cool part about doing it that waw is you keep the stock filter box which rocks at keeping dirt out of your engine. Annother way to cool the intake change is to cool the engine bay. There was a guy on here a while ago that used big rubber hoses force more fresh air into the engine bay. this might cause some backup of air behind the radiator though so I'm not sure if I would try it.
anyway, I had a CAI and then I made it into a SRI and neither one of them proved to be worth anything more then Bling factor so now I run a stock airbox with a NAPA gold filter in it and I'm quite happy. The only thing that looks really promising is that ramair thing but I already have to clean my radiator all the time and can only imagine how many of my tiny flying insect friends would find their way into an air filter like that.

i have the aem sri intake and it doesnt do anything except sound good.....but i like it. got it for real cheap too at a car show...like 60 bucks brand spanking new. i have always been interested in the volant intake though. i think the design is good and it is made out of the same plastic as iceman and k & n intakes are made out of.
