Exhaust question

Looking for a good exhaust for my 04 civic LX that produces a good sound, kind of deep not loud but you know its there. Can't find too many exhausts that fit an LX any help would be great. Thanks

Well I'm looking for the sound I described, don't want anything loud. Also want good gains with it, not looking to spend $700 for those gaines either. I've been looking and can't find much of anything that fits an LX, perhaps I'm looking in the wrong places. Any links?

from what i hear you probally shouldn't expect too much out of an exhaust, bolt ons don't really give alot of gains with our motor

if you arent looking to spend $700 for gains, then be prepared to drive a slow *** civic. Besides exhausts are cheaper, but will not give you really much of anything. Maybe 1-5 HP at the most. If you want some gains, then be willing to fork out some cash. Welcome to the world of the 7thgencivic. Our cars do not do well with aftermarket parts. Best bet for gain is engine internals, turbo, or engine swap.

Yea like street said if u want the power u really need to do a turb or swap. I got the greddy evo 2 and it sounds like it should be one that would intrest you. You can also seach and find the sounds of each one and what other poeple think of it.

So easy for people to misconstrue. I wanted best gains out of product not overall. I don't expect to bolt this up and be able to run 13s with my stock d17. Just want what’s best for the money I spend on it and make sure it’s something I want on there. I'd hate to spend $400 on something that I don't like the sound of or doesn’t do that well as a product. I'll just look around harder, no help here.

If you want whats best for your money, then keep it in the bank. Honestly, getting I/H/E on are car is worthless. If you want just sound, then buy some cheap muffler and weld it on. We are trying to help you, but it seems like you dont want to take it. Our cars dont like aftermarket products very well.

here are of my few personal choices, if i were to purchase an exhaust, it'd be one of the following:
-apexi world sport I (AND II) 50 state legal? great sound, not too loud, sexy mid tone level sound, not an exhaust if you want to be heard though
-greddy spII similar to the apexi wsI/wsII
-skunk2 half polished catback. very nice sound at all rpms. not too loud, not too low, just at the spot you would want it to be. you would prob like this exhaust if your looking for something that sounds real nice and not too rapsy.
-dc sports single canister (no idea) posted my thoughts on ur other thread
-apexi n1 (heard it was real loud when you 'want' it to be)

as for performance gains, again, i doubt you'll dramatically gain any. the apexi world sport I and II are meant to give u mid-rpm gains while the others listed at for high end power.

it is frustrating because it's all just opinions.what might sound good to me is crap to you. some members on here have gone through many exhaust systems to get their perfect sound.
