Mugan? Megan?
I know what Mugen is. What is Megan? Are they related, or is Megan it's own legit company, or is Megan a generic company that is trying to make money off of its similar name?
I found a Megan exhaust (muffler only) on eBay for like $50. That's why I'm asking.

megan's not CRAP. just cuz they're generic doesn't mean their products are bad quality. they just replicate things. so, for example, they make a replica of the apex'i N1 muffler, and everyone i know that has it is happy with it...and they paid less than half of what the name-brand one would have been. i have a megan muffler (though it's not on yet), that looks good, and i've heard clips of it, and it sounds good, too. go ahead and buy it if you don't feel like spending a bunch of money on the "real" stuff
lease:
and btw, it's not like they even replicate mugen products anyway; from what i've seen, they do mufflers, headers, and aluminum wings. so i guess SOME people might think they're buying some JDM product when they see mugen, but they'd be pretty dumb

Has anyone installed a megan with no resonator??
I have a flowmaster and im considering getting a megan cause the flow is raspy yea i know it could be the resonator but it might sound better with the megan....when the exhaust gets hot it sounds much better. But still when i start up my car and rev it, it sounds like ***

There can't be all that many different designs for a straight-through muffler. Everybody says ractive is crap but I'm perfectly happy this muffler. It sounds good, and isn't a high-pitched ricey sound.

megan isn't really a manufacture though.
their products are generics from taiwan.. and they have the manufacture slap on their logo for them to distribute.
much like bombz racing, etc.
there's a reason why all these sellers and distribute reside in El Monte, CA.. and they're all chinese...
heh.
why do I know this? cuz I've contacted the manufacture before, and seriously thought about doing the same thing too. although maybe not go as far as to think of a brand name and try to pass it off as something its not, I thought about buying a large quantity of the downpipe that they manufacture and distribute it...
hmm i had their website somewhere too.. if I find it I'll post it up for all to see... so people will know what they're buying...

i bought a megan n1 muffler through a guy in cali, and i have no put it on yet, and i might not, but i've heard clips and it sounds perfect... you're not gonna get any more hp buying an entire cat back than if you buy one of these mufflers and get custom piping that's the same size.... buying a name is stupid... like he said above, there's not a whole lotta difference you can do w/ just a straight through muffler... if you want a cheap megan muffler contact me... you won't be sorry

It least they should have called it "Moogan" or something instead of "Megan" if they were trying to play off of Mugen. Megan is a girl's name.

first off to all who are cracking on "megan" it is not a replica of "mugen" if you look at there muffler styles none of them even remotely resemble a mugen muffler... trying to make a fake mugen muffler would be ungodly and just impossible.... megan is the identical evil twin to the Apex'i N1 more than anything.... a buddy of mine has in and another has the real N1... and they both revved up and they sound exactly the same have the same popping noise when hitting vtec... and for the half the price i'd rather have the megan N1... but for me i'm goibng Apex'i GT spec... sorry guys
I am still shocked someone would call an aftermarket company Megan... Like... Dude... Civic out that Civic!!! OOHHH MAN!!! LOOK THERE'S MEGAN!!! Hahaha! I don't know. Well, I read some good stuff about this Megan... I guess to the people with it, have fun... to the people without it... be happy with what you have, or what you're going to get... I don't know... Either way... Mugen, Megan... the exhaust will roar like like a Kitten on Steriods!

I bought a megan N1 canister, it looked like garbage. Tip was a ricey 4" and looked like crap, i sold it to a friend he installed it and it sounded like garbage. I bought a REAL apexi N1, and it sounds 100 times better. Ive dont things a few times buying generic stuff and it is NEVER worth it. IMO u get what you pay for.

its pronounced meeeeegan not magan like the girls name. I have had the megan n1 cat back and the 600 dollar rsr gt 2 and the megan sounds better, feels like it has more power, and was 325 dollars less. I couldnt care less about the name.
