Daughter traded for a 2001 Honda Civic EX from what I can tell it has a 2003 V-Tech 1.7 motor in it. Head Gasket was bad so replaced gasket and had head machined, replaced, etc, put everything back together but have an obvious vacuum line that I can't find a home for. When start car the RPM's go from 70-up, back down, repeat. Once I plug that hose/line up the car runs fine, but I have searched high and low and can't figure out where that line goes to. Googled over and over and can't find a diagram that has the same set up and shows that hose. It is a preformed hose that comes off the bottom of the air intake manifold on the drivers side. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I am totally stumped!

I can't see it either! Got pictures?
PCV, or brake booster hose?

Ezone, I don't have a picture-car is not here at the moment-had to take it into a shop to do a few things. Am pretty sure its gotta be something to do with the vacuum system- as soon as I plug up the hose it runs fine. Will try and get a pic when I get it back

Had daughter go take some pics at shop and attach one on here. The hose with the bolt stuck in the end of it is the one I can't find a place for. Any help would be appreciated as Hondas are new to me.

Hard to tell where that comes from.
Seems like it may go to the PCV valve on the side of the block....See an earlier pic.
Here's some more
I don't have a real 7th gen car here to look at.

Yeah that would help if I had another one to look at. Will keep searching. Car runs fine as long as the line is plugged but can't be good for it!
