Rep Power: 0 Short Ram or Cold Air Intake??
I have an '04 Civic Lx, the engine is completely stock and I'm finally investing in it.. I want an intake but I don't know which is better.. I have a choice between an AEM cold air intake and an AEM short ram intake...
The cold air intake is only $170.00
The short ram intake is only $150.00
I can choose whichever color, red/silver/blue on either one, I just don't know the difference, besides the obvious.. Is there any difference in the performance? I've installed a cold air intake before on my '01 Ford Focus and it wasn't all that hard, I just don't know if theres a difference in a sri and a cai.
Any help is appreciated.

Get the CAI it get a lil more cold air and your Ram air intake just gets the hat air out of your engine bay.. To be honest with you i have had both and i cant really feel any difference... just my opinion

Rep Power: 231 if you get a cai MAKE SURE to get a bypass valve. water doesnt compress and youll be doin an engine swap in no time. it pushed my a2 build and swap up a little. but cai is better. the fujita one i have puts the filter right behind the passenger fog light hole for great cold air induction if you have the black plastic pieces removed like i have for my fogs.

Rep Power: 237 my opinion i would get a short ram because the cai are so low and when you go over a large puddle of water there is a greater risk of water getting sucked into your engine
