Rep Power: 0 Oil filter magnet.
I was reading January's issue of Super Street and came across this ad by Filtermag.com, selling their filter magnet for $70. Expensive I say. I got mine from jcwhitney for $15 (+ s/h of course). Though smaller in size, I believe it does the job. Filtermag saids it's magnets are better than conventional magnets (like the one i got). The magazine ad also showed a filter cut out after a 3000 oil/filter change with metal debris where the magnets are. I'm gonna have to try this out next time, and I will report back.

Rep Power: 394 I'de just go to a junkjard and get an old motor with the same diameter as one of our filters and rip it apart and take out the magnets. Let us know how that works out for you. I would add on a magnet if it really did help out.
