Rep Power: 0 GSR Or B16?
This may be in the wrong place, if so, could a mod please move it the correct forum?
Ok, here's my situation: I can get a b16a2 full swap for 2500 with 35k on it from hmotorsonline. OR, I can get a GSR with a 116k on it, full swap, for 2300 from a local Honda Salvage Yard. They say the engine is in excellent condition (I havent seen it yet). What do you guys think would be the better buy? Im just looking for opinions, Ive been doing a load of research on the b16 swap; the GSR just came about today.
Seems like the b16 would be the better buy, since it has so many less miles, but the GSR seems to be the most popular.

Depends on your goals with the build, if its to have a fun daily driver, the B16 is a better option at that price/mileage, if you have higher HP goals with a turbo or SC in the end you will want the GSR engine, if that's the case, id find one with lower than 120k miles..

If the b16a2 didn't have so few miles I would say go with the gsr, but since it does, my vote is b16a2. Neither of those are great deals though.

Thats the thing, I'm not keen on spending 3k to get the b16a2 (thats about how much itll cost me in total, after installation).
I'm seriously considering putting a turbo onto my SOHC (d16z6). It has 178k on it, but is rock solid and has no issues; it hasn't been driven hard at all. That would give me an enjoyably fast daily driver, without breaking the bank.
