lowering springs or coilovers?

I'm going to be getting a 92-95 hatch or coupe and was wondering what spring or coilovers would be best. keeping the body stock which means no aftermarket bumpers or sideskirts. just want to be lowered and a nice ride. not bouncing down the road. i dont care if it is really stiff i just want something that can handle the speed and turns. mostly going to be drag racing though. let me know your input. thanks alot.

Re: lowering springs or coilovers?

ez now... i have a 98 civic hatch. had the same debate when i was lookin at suspension...

a few tips... if you live somewhere (like leeds) where the raods are crap... dont bother lowering... seriously dont bother.

spend as much as possible on any suspension... seriously you wanna be looking at around 500quid atleast! tiens are brill round this price...

are you actually gonna change the ride hight, i put full coilovers, (struts and springs) and i adjust the struts but never (in 3 years) moved the spring hieght, (you have to take the wheel off, the suspension leg out n wind up or down) takes like 5 hours to change 4 wheels... na ta.

deff change the struts not just the springs... i'd go for a 60mm drop on cushion (large circle) springs and some hard struts.

either way its your call n im sure youll do what you want, but i will never lower another car again! completely ruins all ride quality.

(bought mine off ebay usa. some great stuff on their for civics)

peace
