timing belt broke shortly after this video....
you think the car is junk now ?
quietly shut off stopped in traffic, not moving.

Pull head check valves. Also look at the piston tips to see if there are any signs of impact.

A little cash spent for a timing belt to find out if the engine is damaged or not seems reasonable to me.
If it were me, I'd pull the valve cover and check how the clearances and spring heights are, but that may be more technical than most DIY people want to deal with.

timing belt/water pump was done and all was fine for a while. but now im having issues with the head gasket leaking. Around town just doing a 10-15 trip there and back home there is no problem. But long trips and mountainous driving i have to stop and add water every hour. Im not sure how long it will last like this or even if its worth fixing.
