d16y7 NA power questions

I'm looking to basically all the power I can out of my y7. I know the basics(intake manifold, header, air intake) but what are the next steps.to take it further...I recently read about swapping our for the y8 head. What all does that entail. I also read about using d16 rods and pistons for better compression.....thanks for the help

Re: d16y7 NA power questions

y8 head will essentially turn the y7 into a y8.

basically swap the head and ECU to get Vtec. I've also read y8 fuel injectors are bigger than y7 so possibly swapping them in as well. There are lots of detailed write upS on how to do it online. google 'mini me swap'

If you want to stay NA not a whole lot more you can do. Y7 is supposed to be a good candidate for turbo because of it's compression ratio. I don't know about D16 pistons and rods since it is a D16 already.

If you have lots of money engine swap for a b series.
