Swapping heads

I'm new to the tuner world and learning as I go. I have a 97 16B motor and I need to put a new head on it. What other Vtec heads will fit my motor.

Re: Swapping heads

there's usually a letter before the number like D16Y8 or b16b3, usually you can find a head swap in that series (d series=dhead, b series=b head. but some still dont fit. find a model similar to yours like d16y8 and d16z6 are pretty similar. they have some parts interchangeable. does that help?

Re: Swapping heads

Be very careful and research the engine online before you get the new head. Just because its a B series does not mean the head will fit. There might be someone on here that knows each individual engine code and which heads will fit together but likely your best bet is just searching online.
