Rep Power: 0 DNA motoring coilovers?
Hello everybody first time posting here. Ive got a 97 civic ex and i bought coilovers on ebay awhile ago but I havent put them on it. Today I was taking a better look at them and I dont see how what i bought fits together. I'm mechanically inclined but have never constructed/installed coilovers. So from my understanding it looks like they sold me shocks that fits regular curved spring not coil over springs. Coilovers need a flat space to sit center on with this set there is no centering piece or flat rest. In the o-ring bag is a metal ring thats bezeled so it sits center in the bottom of the coilover but idk if I wanna trust my spring sitting on a metal bezel. The set doesnt come with instructions on how to set it up and I have found nothing internet wise. Can I simply buy a piece for under the coilover? Also I see other sets come with a tophat or something. Thanks for any advice!

It looks similar to other coil over sets that came up on Google image search. You are probably suppose to re use the OEM mounts. Have you looked at installation of other coil over kits for your car? They all should be similar.

It does look similar but the design of the strut on these is meant for oe springs not the coil over they sent me. Other coil over sets I've looked at online have a flat surface for the coil overs to sit on. My cars oe strut is the same style as these aftermarket for coil overs it has the offset seat. The oe coil is offset theres no original spring seat.
