Question 97 Honda Civic DX Brakes go to floor

So, I changed the brake pads to find I needed new rotors, to learn I needed new calipers, so I replaced all of that with new parts... then when we tried to bleed the brakes, we went through an entire bottle of brake fluid and the brakes are still going all the way to the floor and soft. If the car is off, they will get hard but as soon as you start the car they go back to the floor. Also the RPMs are going up from 1 to 2 or more every time you try to pump the brakes when it's running. There aren't any leaks in the lines... any suggestions?

Sounds like an issue with the break master system.

The brake master is driven by vacuum from the intake manifold, and could theoretically cause idle issues if the brake master was causing a large vacuum leak.

Did you touch the brake master? did you reinstall the check valve?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Calipers on the wrong sides?

Bleeder screws MUST BE ON TOP
