Rep Power: 164 DIY Tail light / Rear bumper
Found this during Google search.
I did not remove my bumper to do this and you dont have to. If your looking to remove the bumper follow these steps and theres like 2 clips under the bumper that you have to remove and it will come off.
DIY- Tail light removal. Approximate time- 30 minutes.
Step 1- Using a flathead screwdriver remove these 3 plastic screws.
Step 2- Pull out the plastic pieces that the screws went in.
Step 3- Pull back the carpeting.
Step 4- Remove the wire harness that connects to all of your bulbs.
Step 5- Remove the 4 bolts that are holding the tail light in. The plastic piece on the 1 bolt that connects to the wire harness will pull right off.
Step 6- Next your going to have to loosen your bumper to get under the tail light. There are 4 screws that you are going to have to remove and your going to need a real short philips screwdriver to remove them.
Step 7- Then remove this Allen head bolt.
Step 8- You are then going to have to pull your bumper away from your car so that it releases from the clips. You can then reach this screw under the tail light. It is the last thing that is holding the light in.
Step 9- You can now pull the light out, you will have to repeat the steps on the other side to remove the other light. Again if you are looking to completely remove the bumper there are 2 clips under the bumper that need to be removed and it will come off
