Rep Power: 0 Where to get Boston Acoustics Components online and equipment help?
I've been searching the internet for 2 days and can't find any where to get a set of Boston Acoustics Component Speakers. I just got my insurance replacement equipment from my other car getting raped. I'm going to put the stuff into my Civic instead of the old beater Pontiac, so I've got to buy the components. (the pontiac had plates up front) I also need new amps because I told the insurance company I wanted an Eclipse amp and they said they couldn't get that so they sent me a check to get it myself.
Is it important for me to get the BA component up front so the whole system will sound balanced without a lot of signal processing or equalizers and bullshit? My local BA dealer 'recommended' it.
Here's what they sent me:
2 - BA 10" Competitor 1000 2ohm Subs - will handle 800w each.
BA FX9 3-way 6x9s - 70w each
Pioneer DEH-P740MP
and here is what I think I need to buy for highs:
The Rally 620 series - up to 275w but they're freakin' $300.
I found Eclipse PA5422 for $255 - 4x85wRMS@4ohm
and I'm really lost as far as what to power the subs. I don't really want to spend that much more on the sub amp since I've already got almost $600 in the high end stuff. I originally planned on a JBL BP1200.1 for $258, or a RF Punch 700s for $304 but I've heard some complaints about each of those amps. (or maybe a RF 1000.2 R for $389)
HELP!

Rep Power: 322 He's not saying it is bad at all. He's just clarifying with trevor that Class D amplifiers are not badass just because they are class d. class d amps are only for subwoofers, low frequency only. the amplifier uses the power more efficiently so there's less amp draw. The loss of quality doesn't really matter on it since you won't really be able to tell to noticably with subs

Rep Power: 307 You can't buy Boston on the internet except for EBAY. I've looked too. Boston is non internet. Stores only.

Plus they'll take 400 watts as opposed to 275, so the potential is there to be able to do more with that setup. I think...
