does a replaced Multiplex Control Unit have to be reprogramed?

After spending a while troubleshooting various electrical issues I ordered an MCU for my 2002 Civic EX. I called the dealership to find out how much it would be to have them put it in for me and the guy said "with installation and reprogramming it would be $400 - $600.

So my question is does a Multiplexer on a 2002 Civic need to be reprogrammed or can I do this job my self?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

MICU/underdash fusebox unit......2002, no programming.
Plug and play.
DIY.
Just make sure all connectors get securely latched, I will tell you that chasing issues caused by loose connections is a huge PITA

If you didn't already get it, There's a boatload of different units, only one fits your car. If you use a dealer parts website make sure to enter your cars VIN so wrong choices are removed from the lists

Here's a few online USA Honda dealers you can check out
hondapartsnow
hondapartscheap
bkhondaparts
hondaautomotiveparts
hondapartsconnection
.com

I'm sure there are more if you want to search

Probably, that looks like a typical list of issues noticed when MICU shoots craps
