When I got my civic I noticed there was no sound from the rear speakers and the passenger door speaker had very low sound and was crackly. My driver door speaker was the only decent one in the bunch. I went to Crutchfield the other day and picked up a pair of 6.5" Kenwood speakers to replace the ones in the door. Once I get he car back from the dealership I gotta finish installing them, and then look at why there is no sound in the back; if it's bad speakers, bad wiring, not hooked up. I am debating on getting another set of the 6.5" Kenwood's or go with a 6x9. I'm not looking at crazy sound, just have all working speakers that sound decent. The head unit I have is an ebay special that has an FM tuner, aux plug, usb port, and SD card slot. I'm not sure if I wanna replace it or just leave it since I bought the car deliver pizza's with.
Anyways, here's the blow speaker, pics of the new ones to come.

I went and picked up a set of Kenwood 6x9 3 way speakers for the rear and installed them today. It's nice to have all good, new speakers in. The 6x9's add a lot of bass without a sub, and the sound is fairly clear.

Once step ahead of you. I have been cleaning crap up around this car for the 5 weeks I have had it. It was abused and neglected by the previous owner.

In my prior '98 Civic EX and I didn't want to mess with removing the rear deck so, I drilled holes through the rear deck above the speaker mounting screws for access. Took all of 10 minutes and within a year the speakers blew again so the next install took even less time. Lazy-man engineering at it's finest..lol
