Cruise Control not working

I don't use my Cruise Control often but I noticed that neither the Cruise Control buttons work and the switch on the left side of the dash does not come on anymore.

Is there anyway quick way to diagnose the issue? I couldn't find on the diagram which fuse it uses if it uses any.

I had done the airbag recall service a month or two ago. Could it be that the dealership might have screwed something up down there?

Re: Cruise Control not working

Make sure the cruise main switch is latched in the IN position. It can still work without a light, but you have to look close at the switch to tell if it is in (on) or out (off). Many people bump the switch with their left knee and have no idea it's even there.

Check brake lights,
brake switch,
clutch switch if equipped,
you can go to the control unit with a voltmeter and wire diagram to do serious testing

Re: Cruise Control not working

I would suspect a disconnected harness at the cruise control main switch, and short in the circuit to the main cc switch or a faulty main switch. Can't be the fuse as it shares other circuits that you would surely notice not working.

Re: Cruise Control not working

Maybe one of the little plastic or rubber pads that makes contact with the clutch (or brake) pedal switch has broken and dropped out to the floor.
