Certain CDs won't play properly and I can't figure out why

I have a Honda Civic LX 2004.

I'm having some issues playing certain burned CDs in my car and I can't figure out if it is the CDs, cd burner, or CD player in my car.

I had no problems burning/playing CDs from computers 1 and 2. I bought a new computer with an external CD burner and the CDs will play but the songs will skip sometimes. However, if I stick these same CDs in a different car, they'll play fine.

I've tried burning the CDs at different speeds with different software with no luck. These CDs will always play fine in a friends car, but not my Honda's CD player. If I get a CD burned from a friends computer, they will play fine.

I have tried two CD burners, both made by LG, that have failed. Anyone know what is going on? My next attempt is going to be to purchase a CD burner not made by LG. Again, these CDs will play fine in a different car, but not mine.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

aaand it will almost always play a store bought CD unless the data is damaged.

Some CD players didn't 'like' some home burned CDs.
I never figured which or why, I just know it happened and it was not considered a problem. Inconvenience, sure, but not a problem.

Buy a much newer head unit for the car, instead of another burner?
None of the cool kids use CDs anymore anyway.

I second the get an aftermarket headunit idea as well. Your music will sound a tad better too.
