Intermittent problem

So my issue goes something like this: sometimes there's no problems at all, and sometimes the car struggles to start (often) and has strange electrical problems during operation -- the radio will stop playing (as if the power was interrupted to it) briefly before recovering, and one or more lights may come up on the dash for a second or two before disappearing. The engine still runs fine during this, except for one instance which caused a stall while stopped. Otherwise, the car runs just fine, and at no times does the engine run rough. The battery was just checked and deemed to be in good health. I'm at a loss to figure out what could be going on here, and having an intermittent bug chased at the shop will cost a lot of money...perhaps some of you more mechanically inclined folks on here may have some suggestions to point me in the right direction?

Vehicle is a 2005 SE, 1.7L, 200,000kms.

Thanks for any help guys.

Re: Intermittent problem

How is your wiring looking? Specifically the grounding cables that connect the negative side of the battery to the chassis?

Re: Intermittent problem

I'll have a peek at it once I get home from work and report back -- I'm on the road for a few days for work at the moment.

Might need to have your alternator checked while you're at it
