Rep Power: 0 Passenger lock and window not working (same door)
On the driver's side rear door both the window and the lock stopped working. At first the problem was intermittent and then they stopped working completely.
Could these 2 things be related or are they separate problems?

Try a local mechanic, post up your year and maybe we can give you the wire color info to help them trace. ezone has mentioned several time how cheap the complete harness section is compared to attempted repair of broken wires (if this is the case)

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Drivers side REAR door...
peel the black rubber boot away from the section of wiring in the jamb, you should find at least one of the wires broken.
The left rear door harness is 32754-S5A-000,
I show (USD) $22.20 MSRP..
Same # at Toronto shows about $31
Dirt cheap IMO.

I found a broken wire inside the door jamb so it looks like I'll be replacing the wiring harness. How tough of a job is it for a beginner? If there's a good guide somewhere I should be ok doing it I think.
Replacing this should fix both the lock AND the window right?
Thanks a lot for the advice.

Get the door panel off and everything unplugged, pry all the holders off the door (squeeze the tabs to release if you can), keep watch where everything is routed (mark everything with a sharpie or something if you need to), slap the new in exactly the same way.

You'll find out after it's installed. LOL
One broken wire was for the power window, that seems consistent here.
Were there any other wires broken??
The lock may or may not be related to the wiring.....the actuators do get weak and quit now and then.

I only found 1 wire that was broken, then again I could only peel back the rubber tubing a small ways. Guess I'll order that harness from torontohondaparts and find out.

Re: Passenger lock and window not working (same door)
You could stick a 12v light bulb in the connector for the lock actuator and see if it lights up as you work the power locks. If it lights up, the wires for it are assumed ok (at that position, because broken wires in the jamb can reconnect as the door swings) and the actuator is blamed.
