How difficult...

How do you install a sub? I have no experience installing any kind of sound equipment in my car. I would like the sub to be in my trunk. I plan to only buy one sub at first but eventually a second one. Also is it necessary to install an aftermarket head unit?

Ahhhhh!

Step one) power wire form battery to amp.

2) Connect remote wire to amp!

3) Ground amp. (Search the site its been discussed where exactly to ground it)

4) Put subs & amp in the trunk. Run speaker wire from amp to sub.

5) Plug in RCA's.

And BUMP!!!

I assume you are going to get an after market deck. But you don’t need one.

This is a very ROUGH explanation. So feel free to ask me any more questions you have.

Also specs of amp & sub will come in hand. So we can find out what OHM to wire your sub(s) too.

Any who! Get ready to get schooled on audio equipment...

if you don't want an aftermarket deck get a hi-low signal converter, to plug the RCA's into.

True ^ but your Subs will act as a speaker and not crossover only bass...

But I have a converter...

If you have a good electronics knowledge, wiring this stuff up is actually tedious and can be really boring.

If not, research until you feel like you can answer any questions about it, then install it. If you don't know everything about it, then don't wire it up. Wiring stuff up incorrectly can cost you thousands of dollars.
