Rep Power: 0 HU install affects ebrake light?
Hi,
I bought a new alpine deck and had someone install it for me last week. A few days after my ebrake light started twitching and eventually stays on even though my ebrake is released.
I want to know if there are any wires handled during the deck installation that would affect the ebrake light? If so then I am planning to take it back to the guy who installed it for me because I don't want to take it to Honda and then have them tell me they won't fix it.
thanks~

Rep Power: 0 u kno the same thing happened with me with other parts of the car (ie turn signals, dome light, etc). i kno absolutely jack **** about eletricity n all that crap. but i think its because something with the HU installation touched a ground on the car. n that affected something else that was connected to it.
but then again im probably totally offbase. -____=

Rep Power: 0 Well, it probably is not the problem with HU installation. It's the e-brake wire that became loose. Simply remove the cover near the brake handle(in front of the brake handle, a small U shape plastic), and move the connector a little bit so that sits secured. It should work out.
If you need picture, PM me.

Rep Power: 0 I can say that I have that problem before, went to the dealer, they told me it's the connector's problem, not installation problem anyway. Don't do too much to it at this point, check the connector first before you put too much time and work in there.
