So I noticed that ever since I got my '03 EX that the interior smelled like duct tape on hot days. I thought nothing of it.
Today I took out the dash to remount my HU (hate that Metra 7899), and I look at the wiring harness that leads to the hazard button. It was wrapped in DUCT TAPE. Every other harness was wrapped in standard electrical tape.
Needless to say I was mortified, especially when I became convinced that Honda did this themselves. The tape runs all the way down to the tube that holds all of the dash harnesses.
Anyway, I wrapped the duct tape in packing tape, hoping to keep the smell down. Anyone think this will work?

Rep Power: 0 The duct tape was really sticky (go figure) so I didn't pull it off. I did wrap it twice tightly with electrical tape though, so hopefully that should help.
