Aight so i came home from work the other day and my g/f lil brother (11 years old), was there he handed me this gift and said here i got this for u for taking me to a few car shows and such, opend it up and wahla blue washer lights !!! Now i am completly aganist them but i mena **** he bought them for me so i sort-a have to put them on. Any ways i was thinking

Can i paint the top of the washer thingy black to look semi stock, while leaving a small part open for the light to shine through? What should i use.....krylon? or model paint? auto paint?

Basically i dont want to look like i am cooking a rice dinner everytime i get in the car.

teach that kid a lesson about rice, take the lights back and get something cool. hell, take the kid with you and show him whats cool.

Just gently explain that you really like the thought, but they are illegal (which they are in any color but amber/yellow) and that you want something you can safely use every day.

And let him help you pick out the new gift.

lol dont you just hate that...
i would try to use some sort of transparent paint. just keep them off but when you see her turn them on
its like getting an unwanted shirt... you hate it but i was a gift. you dont wear it normally but you wear it occasionally when you see that person..

thanks...lol i told him they were illegal esp. in blue....and he was like so what it aint illegal unless u get caught.....words of wisdom from an 11 year old. Lol this kid is going to be scary when he grows up!

But i just painted the units black with the exception of the front part where the led is. They have a gunmetalish look to them since i only put like two coats on. Sort-a looks a lot nicer...and not so much ricer. Atleast the black will go with my headlights and the color scheme of the car.

Thanks for the feedback...i really thought of it all, but hey it could be worse i could have got pink!!!!....well atleast it was not the f&f brand....or a stupid sticker banner for my front windshield that read F&F
