I'm a newb regarding audio
I want to buy this JDM CD/MD deck and it said something about (4 x 52W)
What does that mean? I would like to swap the stock speakers for something with a little more bass, but not go out and get an amp/sub. I prefer to keep my system lightweight.
What speakers would match the (4 x 52W)? What speakers would you recommend for decent bass? Would I have to get new speaker wire?
Here's a pic of the deck I would like to put in.

thats a tight lookin deck, 4X52W basically means 52 watts to each of your 4 speakers. JL Audio makes a set that looks good and sounds great and there not expensive. JL Audio TR600 is a great set, or if you want a lil higher end, go with the VR set, niether require that get an amp but both will take it if you ever go that way. JL has a new line of amps that are hella cheap (for JL anyway) small, and very effective. also POLK speakers are nice, so are eclipse, MBs are a sweet set as well. just go to a small shop to get your questions answered, but sadly the big retailers like the good guys, uasually have better deals.
if your car is an EX you have more options with the speakers being that the EX model has factory Tweets that can be replaced easily

Is that a standard DIN size? anyway, 52x4 is only an optimistic Maximum output. in reality, it only puts out about 20 watts x 4 at most. It really isn't enough for most of the more power hungry speakers and it will probably not be enough power for speakers to make more bass. Your best bet would be to also get a small 2 channel amp, about 50 watts x 2 to power some aftermarket speakers. it won't be heavy at all.
