I am looking to sell my double din special edition stock radio out of my civic and upgrade to a nicer one. My question is: What would i need to buy to make a different double din radio fit in my civic? I have read a few places and they all say something different. Anybody know what i would have to buy, in addition to the radio, to make it fit properly?

The SE already has a super nice stereo, why sell it?
Anyways, it really just depends on what system you buy. You may or may not have to install or remove a bracket or two, but otherwise everything should fit just fine.

The buttons are starting to wear off but im still debating on whether i want to sell it or not lol thanks for the help

My buttons are terribly scratched off, almost like the previous owner had 3" carbon-steel fingernails. Haha, and I'm not mush of a help, I've never thrown in a custom stereo before, but I have seen the backside of the SE radio and besides a lot of wires, it's really pretty simple back there.

Yea mine is getting there. once a little paint comes off it is so easy for the rest to come off on that button. I thought about making the buttons black but its too risky. I have the stereo in my other cars but i didnt know if i would need anything different in the civic.
