BOX MAKING *LOOOKK*
i just made a sub box out of MDF for 2 12" subs and was wondering about fabercating it?? WHAT KIND OF CARPET DO I GET?? i can figure this out, also how do i apply it to the box, do i use glue or staples or what?
Also i was wondering how do i make a good seal between the rubber gasket around the speaker and the carpet and wood, ITs a sealed box so it needs to be air tight. ALLLSSSOOO do i really need to seal the wood, i mean i got the joints and everything do i have to cover it with somthing, does it matter? thanks alot

its best to seal the wood with silicone. and for the place where you put the speakers, try using those foam tape(it came with my sony xplods) and tape it around the subs. n to fabricate it, yes you use glue, i heard the 3m spray on adhesive works well

Fabricating an enclosure means to actually make it. Carpeting an enclosure is Carpeting it .
Just seal all the inside joints with silicone (don't be shy with it) . For Carpet, Well options are your choice. Just go to a local car audio shop that does some custom work. They always Speaker box carpeting in stock. Also, the 3M Spray adhesive works best. Can grab a can at Wal-Mart for $3.99 or so. So seal the subs. If your subs didn;t come with the univesal weather stripping tape. rab a bit at Wal_mart, Lowe's those kind of stores. This will ensure there are NO air leaks around the sub itself. That should about do it.
