Looking for a few ideas on trunk
Going to install my amp soon and get a sub very soon, I'm torn of where to mount these two. Trying to keep a clean look or even no look at all and KEEP the spare tire. I have a few ideas;
-Mount the amp under the packing shelf and have it hinge down.
-Mount the amp in the floor KEEPING the spare tire (mount point would be from the spare tire to the rear body panal), also mounting fans and vent plates for the amp. Fancy plexy glass views
-Mount a sub tube under the packing shelf and tune all of the vibes out
-Also a sub tube mounted at the bottom of the seat and the floor with quick release to remove it if I need the space
-Mount a 10" in the floor right over top of the spare tire and have the rear of the speaker meet the dip of the spare tire and fiberglass/foam fill template.
-Mount a 10" or 2 8" between the spare tire and the rear body panal (tight fit)
Thats about all I can come up with, still pondering. Any good ideas or votes?

I vote out the sub tubes. Never was very fond of them. Have you considered a simple non-invasive install like an amp on the back of the rear seat and a sub glassed into one of the corners by the rear body panel?

Trying to stay away from mount the amp to the back seat incase I need to drop the seats down and lay something in there I'll be worried about scratching or damaging the amp. Now on your location your talking about on the subs do you mean in the corners of the trunk like where the tail lights are. please be nice to the artwork :-P

He's talking abuot a corner sub install. There are a few members here that have it, but the best I can explain it is the wheel well hump back is where it'l be. You could also easily fit a single 8 in thespace between the back of teh car and the spare. (Regularjoe I believe had this install for a while, and kept the trunk floor).
false floor is always an option. True, you'll lose a littel vertical height, but it still works fine.
